Volume Two in The Montana and the West Series published by Upton and Sons. This first printing was limited to only 500 copies. An important work on Sharp's Montana years. He lived with the Crows for eight years where he painted and studied the history of the Crows and other nearby tribes. Also covers his relationships with friends, models, associates and especially his wife. The author's family moved to the Crow Agency the same time as Sharp and in 1902 her father was appointed agent to the Crows. For eight years her family and the Sharps were close friends. Twelve full color reproductions of Sharp's Montana work, numerous pencil sketches from his notepad, and photographs by Sharp and his friends are included in the book.
